And, as I see now, I’m not the only one who has doubts about this. Today I was thinking again in my feed, and finally it dawned on me that something was wrong with the word “comfort” itself... And another word came to mind.. What is this word? We read, think, discuss. The real problem is understanding the term and what stands behind it. There are dictionaries that define terms that reflect this or that phenomenon. Playing with words is no joke at all. Words are not just fiction, they are one of the word reflections of reality. And we still use very ancient words, often attributing new qualities to them. Let's go to the dictionary: Comfort - (English comfort), everyday amenities: the convenience and comfort of homes, public institutions, means of communication, etc. In a figurative sense: spiritual comfort, a state of inner peace, the absence of discord with oneself and the world around us. ... It would be interesting to imagine where we would be now if in the morning our parents pulled us out of the “comfort zone” - from under a warm blanket. If you didn’t leave your warm apartment into the cold and didn’t go to school or university? And what kind of “comfort zone” is this if a woman feels bad with her husband, but she doesn’t leave him? There is no comfort zone. Is there another phenomenon? Habit. It's a man of habit, not a man of will. A weak-willed creature may not even reach the refrigerator! A person becomes a person, revealing his resource potential, thanks to the fact that he acquires new skills and trains. It's not always pleasant. But... Conditions for training are created such that the training is successful. Kind of comfortable. Education at school and university. Conditions should be comfortable. But you still have to make an effort to overcome the person of habit. Maybe we are talking about the feeling of the familiar? It seems like it dawned on me, right now! There is another word that sounds similar! This word is "conformism, conformity." I'll go back to the dictionary. Yes, that's right. Thinking did not fail! Conformity!!! Conformity is a change in a person’s behavior or opinion under the influence of real or imagined pressure from another person or group of people. That’s where the dog rummaged!!! This is a simplification of the sound of the word, which led to serious consequences for everyone who distorted it! That is, we can also talk about manipulation, when a person is forced to do something that is not characteristic of him, or that a person can change under the influence of pressure . Pressure without achieving an understanding of the essence of what needs to be done is violence. But... Both the coach and parents can put pressure so that we get the desired result. Then the question is whether there is a suppression of a person’s will (that is, one who goes to the result himself, but needs to be spurred on). But here, at least it’s clear what to do with it! This concept should be understood as the unquestioning fulfillment of the requirements that society sets before an individual. Also, the term conformism often hides the absence of personal opinion regarding any issues. ".So, comfort and conformity are different things both in essence and in content.
