People have the opinion that if you are a true master in your field, then you will be guaranteed to be provided with finances. Alas, this is not the rule. Let me give you an example. So you work as a cook in a cafe. A normal cook, not outstanding, but not bad either. And you work for, say, ten years. And then a person comes to your management and reports that he is, well, a super-duper cook. And he provides evidence! I don’t know which ones, but this is an assumption, right? For his high-quality work, he wants a salary two or three times higher than yours. Reasonable, of course. Question: will management fire you and hire that outstanding chef? Most likely not. First of all, why should you be fired? You do a good job. Secondly, if you hire that new person, you will have to change a lot in the work of the cafe. Will he be preparing new dishes? This means that new suppliers of new products will be needed. You will need to attract new visitors. And the price tags will change a lot. Therefore, the highest qualifications are not a guarantee of employment. Let’s compare the salaries of a driver from the city’s fleet and the government’s fleet. The position seems to be the same, but the salaries are guaranteed to be different. What causes this difference? First of all, governments are interested in the absence of staff turnover in the vehicle fleet. It is necessary that its employees do not even think about changing jobs. What about city car parks? They treat this issue much more calmly. It turns out that with a similar level of qualifications, salaries can be very, very different. When I just started selling at the Crafts Fair and tried very hard to learn from the successful ones, they proudly told me that their success is due to the highest quality of what they do of things. Since no one assessed the level of what was done, one can believe it) But it’s amazing! The crisis happened and sales fell for many. Particularly those who prided themselves on their outstanding quality. Do you know what they started saying? Scold the government! It turns out that sales fell because of the government. But sorry, not everyone’s sales fell! Mine, for example, have not changed at all. I turned out to be independent of the actions of the government) It turns out that the quality of the things produced also does not guarantee their sale. So what guarantees it? Of course, in different ways. If we are talking about hired workers, then high salaries are the merit not so much of the employee as of the organization. In a small company they rarely pay a lot (although, of course, there are exceptions); in large companies they often pay much more for similar positions. If we are talking about business, then those who skillfully use marketing have big profits. The point is that he doesn’t do things that won’t be in demand, he doesn’t do unnecessary things. And he makes the necessary ones and sells them correctly. He doesn’t sell it to everyone, but tries to offer it to those who are interested in it. And in a way that will be clear to the consumer. But that’s another story) I study labor psychology, business psychology, and provide consultations on this topic. Contact me, I will try to help.
